In 2025, the Fort Vancouver Rose Society will be enjoying its 72nd year of growing and celebrating the rose. All are WELCOME to our meetings and events as described below. AND, the Fort Vancouver Rose Society is very proud to announce the theme of the 2025 FVRS Rose Show: 200 YEARS OF ROSES AT THE FORT. The show, our 70th annual, will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, in the Exhibition Hall at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds. This will be a new location for the show--we are very excited to be working with the Clark County Event Center staff with Friends of Fort Vancouver, our namesake, in presenting this year's show.
NEXT MEETING: Thursday, April 3: Sharing her story of "Rehoming Margaret's Roses," FVRS member Kim Erion will entertain as well as educate at the next FVRS membership meeting 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, in the Parish Hall at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Vancouver. Kim will tell her story of valued learning—a mentorship—with FVRS Consulting Rosarian Margaret Snitzler. Within this story is one where Margaret’s pending move from her Vancouver home of many years to another posed the dilemma of what to do with all her well-established roses surrounding her home. Kim stepped up to assist and, after much discussion and planning with Margaret, Kim began planning new rose space at her own home in Washougal. Come to the meeting to learn how Kim and her husband Jim accomplished moving all those roses. What a feat, and Kim (with her enthusiasm and wonderful sense of humor) will share all the highlights. You don't want to miss this presentation!
ARRANGEMENT WORKSHOPS
We are pleased to, once again, provide Arrangement Workshops in 2025 to the FVRS membership and the public. Arrangements Chair Julie Goggin held the first workshop of 2025 on Wednesday, February 5. The next workshop will be Wednesday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at the Vancouver Elks Lodge #823, 11605 SE McGillivray Blvd., in Vancouver.
Julie has spearheaded this effort in our society to teach floral arranging with our beloved roses. She has sparked the creative talent in many and given confidence to her workshop participants, many of whom exhibited at the FVRS 69th Annual Rose Show in June last year and provided beautiful centerpiece arrangements at our In-House Rose Show last September and at most of our General Membership meetings.
THANK YOU to all the participants who create beautiful arrangements for our meetings and competitions.

EXHIBITORS:
As in 2024, the 2025 FVRS EXHIBITOR Rose Show Book will focus on information of interest to just the exhibitor. On the day of the 2025 FVRS Rose Show, June 28, the Society will provide a dedicated 2025 FVRS VISITOR Rose Show Book to all the visitors who arrive during our show hours of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Until the 2025 FVRS EXHIBITOR Rose Show Book is published (spring of 2025), exhibitors will find the printable 2024 FVRS EXHIBITOR Rose Show Book attached below. The book will, of course, be edited for 2025; but we have left the 2024 book on this webpage so that it can be reviewed for how the FVRS organizes its show. The book includes General Instructions for the Horticulture, the Artistic Design and the Photography sections of the show. When published, if there are any differences between the 2025 FVRS EXHIBITOR Rose Show Book PDF file website file and the hard copy distributed at the 2025 June 28 show, the hard copy will be the official book.
